In 2004, twenty-five young women and I debuted my first NYC play entitled Carnival Girls at an off-Broadway theatre in Times Square. I have continued to work with many of these original company members whom I consider to be fellow artists, friends and sisters with a common goal…to express. In 2010, I officially formed Carnival Girls the production company as a way to better focus my energies and expand the mission of creating, presenting and promoting work by female artists of all mediums. In addition to producing theatrical work, Carnival Girls will be pursuing ventures in writing, film, dance, visual art and web-based content. As a playwright, I make it a priority to write roles for women that are unique and diverse with the belief that when the roles for women are strong, the roles for men are strong and strong characters make for a great story.
